Dean Guitars was founded in Chicago, Illinois, in 1976 by Dean Zelinsky, but came to
prominence under Elliott Rubinson in 1997 after his company, Armadillo Enterprises, purchased the Dean
trade
name. Dean guitars and basses have been seen in such bands as Heart, Kansas, Pantera, Michael Schenker
Group, Megadeth, The Cars, Molly Hachet, Triumph, and ZZ Top
